The Test Pilot is July 8th Drink of the Day!!
Today, we celebrate one year since Space Shuttle Atlantis took off on it’s final voyage for the Space Shuttle program. It was take-off number 135 for this successful program for NASA. It’s mission on this flight: To send up over 8000 pounds of spare parts and supplies to the International Space Station. After this flight, the United States would have to depend on other countries, primarily Russia, and private companies to take its astronauts into space.
Jonee Nunes from GuestofaGuest.com blogged a drink on the date of this final take-off. I think it would be wrong to select another cocktail on the first anniversary of this historic event. Hopefully soon, we will see other projects happen for our (United States) space exploration. We shall wait another day to open a new chapter on this subject.
Test Pilot Cocktail
1 1/2 oz. Lemon Infused Vodka
1 Splash of Lemon-Lime Soda
1 Splash of Cranberry Juice
2 Splashes of Sour Mix
Method: Pour all contents into a shaker with ice. Shake well, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
