The Texas Tea is April 25th Drink of the Day!!

There is an argument that has been going on in the bar industry for years on the original recipe of the Long Island Iced Tea. I would say that there is no majority either way and, to be quite honest with you, I do not know what the true original recipe was. But, the cocktail that I am introducing today is why I believe that tequila does not belong in a L.I.T.

With it’s unique flavor, tequila is a great mix for any drink. The Texas Tea is no exception. Replacing gin in my recipe of a Long Island with tequila, you have yourself a completely different cocktail that will be a favorite in the summertime. So, to all you that like tequila, give this agave spirit it’s due by giving it a drink it can call its own.

Be very careful when drinking these down, folks. This is a two-in-one cocktail that will take you by surprise if you are not careful. Be responsible and enjoy!
