Drink of the Day: Two Sheets to the Wind

Well, just by the name of this, you know you will have to make sure you keep everything in control when imbibing on one of these. The combination of flavors makes for a smooth cocktail, that’s for sure. However, it is a very high-alcohol concoction that can take you where the name entails.

A great combination of rum and brandy, being assisted by some orange curacao and lime juice gives you a surprisingly refreshing aperitif that goes well during that cocktail get-together before dinner. Just be sure to make this a sipper and enjoy the combination of flavors this cocktail offers. Maybe this Saturday Drink of the Day will work well while enjoying some friends tonight. Enjoy!

Two Sheets to the Wind

1 oz. Dark Rum

1 oz. Brandy

1/2 oz. Orange Curacao

Splash of Lime Juice

Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in all the ingredients to measure. Cap with a tin and shake to blend the ingredients. Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice. Take a twist of orange and rub it gently on the rim of the glass, then set it into the cocktail.
