The Yellow Submarine is March 1st Drink of the Day!!
A couple weeks ago, it was the 50th anniversary of the Beatles coming to America. This event would be the beginning of the British Invasion and would set the tone for music in the United States for years to come. Without their influence, who knows what we would be listening to today.
I have found a cocktail that shares the name of one of their songs and movie. A very simple cocktail with a complex flavor, this drink may not be the hit that the Beatles are. But, with its flavor and simplicity of making it, it will be a hit with whoever puts one together.
Yellow Submarine
1 1/2 oz. White Rum
1 oz. Orange Curacao
1/2 oz. Sour Mix
Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in all the ingredients to measure. Cap with a tin and shake well. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
