President Lincoln’s Cocktail is February 12th Drink of the Day!

Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President and known in his day as the Great Emancipator, was born on this day. To show our gratitude for this great man, we will be introducing a drink named after him that was first introduced to the world in San Francisco’s Pacific Wine and Spirit Review on November 30, 1900.

President Lincoln was not a popular President in his day. There were many things he did that would rub some people the wrong way. However, because of his strong will and clear focus, he was able to end the Civil War. The Emancipation Proclaimation, which promoted the Constitutions Amendment 13 abolishing slavery in the United States, many feel, caused the assassination of him at Ford Theater in 1865.

Here’s to the man who made living in this country free for all! Cheers and Happy Birthday!
