The Baltimore Zoo is February 17th Drink of the Day!

It’s hard to believe that electrical use for everyday use, such as lighting, has only been around for less than 150 years. We’ve become so dependent on this, yet if you look at the overall history of mankind, it’s only been around for a blink of an eye!

Before lighting with electricity, gas was used to light up the streets. Something that we still see in certain areas today. Even that technology is less than 200 years in existance. In fact, Baltimore, Maryland is the first US city to have gas lit city streets. This happened in 1817, 195 years ago. Not too long ago if you look at the overall scheme of things.

In remembrance of this day, I’d like to introduce a drink to you that will take many ingredients. Take it “light”ly when drinking this. It can be “lights-out” for you in no time if you don’t realize the strength of this cocktail. Enjoy but tread lightly.
