May the fourth be with you!
Ah, yes. It is all downhill from here, folks. I feel that now that we are into May, we will no longer see many more cold nights and frosty mornings. Here in Northeast Ohio, we actually hit 80 degrees F yesterday. Man, did it feel great! Now I am ready for the summer…..or am I?
I was just informed by my beautiful young daughters this morning that they only have three weeks of school left and then they are off for summer break. Are you kidding me?! As much as I adore my girls, it sure is nice to have the daytime to do what I have to do before they come home from school. The school years seem to get shorter and shorter. It is time to get the bike tires ready for the season. I also want to set them up with some activities, so they are not bored this summer. This all has to be done sometime before the break begins. However, it will not be today. I need something that will put me in that relaxing state and I think I have found just that for today’s Drink of the Day. Chores first! But, after the day is done and I am about to look back at everything accomplished, this will be something that I can sip on to get me in the right frame of mind. Or, quite possibly, replace the after dinner dessert and just have one of these. The soothing flavor with the combination of ingredients is euphoric. This cream based cocktail is a true example of what a cream drink should offer the imbiber.
Enjoy Monday. Heck, enjoy everyday! We are only here for a short time. So like you should a cocktail, take the flavors of each moment and enjoy the many flavors life has to offer. Remember: Right now is the beginning of the rest of your life. Savor and take it all in, one sip at a time!
