To stay true to my Monday ritual, I am introducing a new cocktail to you today; one that you would find on the menu at the restaurant / bar I am now part of: Twiisted Sushi Grill and Bar, located in Medina, Ohio.
A subtle, full-flavored gin cocktail, using the cucumber essence of Hendrick’s to compliment the other ingredients. Citrus plays an important role in this cocktail, which rounds out this gin well and enhances the spirit’s inner flavors. The twist of orange only enriches the citrus’ presence, giving you an aromatic exclamation with every tantalizing sip. I have yet to mention the hue of this cocktail, a bluish tint that will start up the conversation while interacting with friends and co-workers after a long exuberating day at the office.
Let’s get this week started off on a good note with a cocktail that will make a great topper for your busy and hectic day. Enjoy and cheers, my friends.
1 1/2 oz. Hendrick’s Gin
3/4 oz. Cointreau
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
1/2 oz. Blue Curacao
1/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
Orange Twist for Garnish
Method: Combine all ingredients, except the twist, in a mixing glass with ice. Cap with a tin and shake well. Strain into a nicely chilled cocktail glass. Take a rind of orange and twist it over the cocktail. Rub it gently on the rim of the glass before dropping it into the drink.
